A Visit to DC Design ,Pune

DC Design was founded in 1993 with the dual aim of redesigning and modifying mass market cars to create one-of-a-kind automotive beauties for automotive connoisseurs as well as offering design and prototyping services to the OEM automotive sector.

And a legend was born. DCD has produced more than 600 unique design cars; from supercars to a complete re-haul of the humble Ambassador. DCD has also provided design and prototyping services to the likes of Aston Martin, Renault and GM. Today DCD also designs and refurbishes aircraft interiors. DCD is now synonymous with bespoke luxury and avant-garde automotive design

The Showroom @ Pune

  Kinda near to the reliance mall was this DC showroom. Its gr8 ...a must go for any are enthusiast. Inside they had the Innova longue , The DC Thar (Was mind blowing) , The DC Renault Duster , DC Nissan Sunny and a DC concept piece which had only one seat.



The Innova Longue . (Most people have seen this...not a rare sighting. exteriors close to stock)

The DC Mahindra THAR (Crazy Bodywork. Needed aid to correlate it with the Thar)

DC RENAULT DUSTER (Looks sharp and capable on the exteriors. The interiors are mind blowing)

THE DC CONCEPT

We just walked into the showroom and a salesperson greeted us and gave us an intro of DC Design and asked which car i own and was discussing on what they could do to it. We clicked a couple of pics inside the showroom and asked for the manager as we were planning to do an autoshow in Bangalore on the 4th of Dec 2013 and would love to see some entries lined up from DC. We saw the manager who was a very nice person, introduced ourselves as MBA Freshmen (media n communication department) from Whistling Woods International (wwi) which is one of the best film school's in the world with a great campus and bla bla bla.

    The manager said that they can give a list of their customers in the place in case they cannot make it to banagalore due to their tight schedule. With this and the spec sheet and tariff's of dc, we left the place. It was well worth a visit.

MOMENT OF TRUTH
The above para is what we actually wanted to happen. But what actually happened was.
The security there acted as if he had customized all the vehicles there. No one person came to attend us. They didnt even have a spec sheet for anything. and didnt bother to tell. The scurity didnt let us take pics of "his" cars and so did the cleaner there.Basically all the pics above were taken without permission. We tried to meet the manager. One was fine but the other was again arrogant and he was acting as if i was taking his private pics. With such a terrible and arrogant staff DC still exists only because of what they do when it comes to creativity. But still it was too much and not expected from such a reputed self made brand like DC. And for all the pics we couldnt take, thanks a lot terrible staff. If you were in my company id make sure you dont work for me, and give such shit to my customers.
